Selah Life Coaching
Inspired by the biblical word Selah-an invitation to pause and reflect. Selah Life Coaching provides a calm and caring space for women and children to comfortably share thoughts, seek guidance and work towards goals.

There is a growing need to pause in our world. Lets face it, we live in a demanding and sometimes confusing world, and it is overwhelming at times. I am here to help you create a life that feels calmer and more intentional. A life where there is time to focus on the things that truly matter and enjoy them.

I will work alongside you without judgement but with grace, encouragement and a little humor... You will receive practical tools and guidance as you pause, reflect and take meaningful steps forward with calm confidence, renewed purpose, and hope. One step at a time!
Pause-Reflect-Grow

What is Life coaching?
You can find plenty of textbook definitions of life coaching, but here’s how I see it…
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes. We all have times in our lives that we feel stuck, weighed down, uncertain, or simply in need of someone to walk alongside us.
That’s where I come in.
If you’re a woman, think of me like a personal trainer—but instead of strengthening your body, we’re strengthening your mindset, confidence, and ability to move forward.
I’m here to listen without judgment, help you sort through what’s on your heart, ask meaningful questions, and work with you to create practical next steps that fit your life. I’ll encourage you, challenge you when needed, and help keep you accountable as you grow.
If you’re seeking support for your child, think of me like a tutor for social-emotional growth. Just as a tutor helps a child succeed academically, I help children build confidence, understand their emotions, strengthen friendships, solve problems, and develop healthy life skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
Whether I’m working with a woman or a child, my purpose is the same:
To provide a calm, caring place where you can pause, reflect, and grow through support, encouragement, accountability, and practical tools.

Life Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, treating mental illness or any medical issues. Sometimes an issue may surface that is better served with therapeutic or mental health intervention. I will redirect people when I’m not the right person for them. Life coaching is about staying in the present and building awareness around thinking and behavior patterns that may be keeping you from moving forward and finding balance and fulfillment in life.

A Thought From Me
I don’t believe anyone has to have all the answers.
Sometimes what we need most is someone who will truly listen, ask the right questions, offer a fresh perspective, and remind us that we don’t have to stay stuck.
That’s my heart behind Selah.
A place where women and children can feel safe, supported, and encouraged to take one small step at a time.

What is Life coaching is not.
Hey, I'm Carmela
I am a wife of 32 years and mom of two adult children and one Frenchie! I am a Christian woman, with a heart to serve. I spent the first 11 years of my marriage as a proud military wife. I was born and raised in NY, lived in many places across the US and settled in Ohio 24 years ago.
I have worked with children, families, teachers and administration in a Christian school setting for 14 years. I am both proud and humbled to have started "Smiling Eyes" a woman's volunteer group of over 100 woman country wide that serve others one act of kindness at a time.
I started Selah Life Coaching because I care deeply about helping women and children feel supported in real life, not just when everything looks put together.
I know how easy it is to feel overwhelmed, unsure, or stuck in life. My hope is to create a space where you can slow down, talk things through, and take the next right step with more peace and confidence.
At Selah, you don’t have to have everything figured out. You can come as you are, be honest about where you are, and move forward. One small step at a time.
